Does the Bible teach Predestination? How about Free Will? Predestination defined: The idea that the future has already been determined by God and thus one has no control over his/her future.Free Will defined: The idea that one has uninhibited control over his/her own actions.
I went to website called bible debates.A very interesting site that takes both sides of biblical questions. Each side is supported by readings from the bible.Actually the site is called christian defense update. It can be found at http://www.cdu.jesusanswers.com/photo2.html.
I just found it a few minutes ago so I cannot comment to deeply on it but when I read a little more perhaps I will put my two cents worth in.

Here is a job description for floor nurses in a hospital in 1887
1. Daily sweep and mop the floors of your ward, dust the patient's furniture and windowsills.
2. Maintain an even temperature in your ward by bringing in a scuttle of coal for the day's business.
3. Light is important to observe the patient's condition. Therefore, each day fill kerosene lamps, clean chimneys and trim wicks. Wash the windows once a week.
4. The nurses's notes are important in aiding the physician's work. Make your pens carefully; you may whittle nibs to your individual taste.
5. Each nurse on duty will report every day at 7 a.m. and leave at 8 p.m. except on Sabbath on which day you will be off from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
6. Graduate nurses in good standing with the director of nurses will be given an evening off each week for courting purposes or two evenings a week if you go regularly to church.
7. Each nurse should lay aside from each payday a goodly sum of her earnings for her benefits during her declining years so that she will not become a burden. For example, if you earn $30 a month you should set aside $15.
8. Any nurse who smokes, uses liquor in any form, gets her hair done at a beauty shop, or frequents dance halls will give the director of nurses good reason to suspect her worth, intentions and integrity.
9. The nurse who performs her labors and serves her patients and doctors without fault for five years will be given an increase of five cents a day, providing there are no hospital debts outstanding.
I thought this article was rather interesting.

Frank Zappa:("A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it not open.")
my quote of the day.....not real deep but very true I believe.
Had an enjoyable weekend here.Denise, the kids and I celebrated a canadian Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. Then Denise found out we could a weeks worth of NHL hockey on Comcast. So far it has been great ,as I get my pick of every single game every night. It was good on Saturday to see Hockey night in Canada again as Comcast picked up the feed.Don Cherry was in good form....sort of.However it was sad to see my Canucks lose in a shootout to the hated Oilers...hahahaha......The new rules make quite a change in the game.Being a hockey purist I wasn't sure I would like them. But in fact the game is faster now without all the clutching and grabbing. It will take awhile for the players to get used to these rule changes.
We were thinking of purchasing the season package ,(in fact Denise wanted me to get it).I tend to be cheap and said that I didn't think I needed it that bad.It was "reduced"to $129.00 for the year.I am sure if playoffs are included.I just think we have better things at this time to spend our money on.After thinking and talking it thru with Denise we thought that next year would be better.I still get two to three games a week for free. They just aren't showing any games with Canadian teams is all.It is hard for me to watch and cheer for California teams...Denise however loves those"DUCKS!!!".....hahahahahaha

another week has passed full of activity.Denise and I spent thursday going thru our storage room deciding how many of our old videos to throw out.Denise had collected a huge amount of them before i came along and it took us quite some time to decide which ones to keep and which ones to toss.We figured the personal ones we taped of our family life were the ones we would keep.I still had one of my late mom running around the back yard in canada chasing her grandkids with a water soaker. That is one I definately wanted to keep.Denise had many of darylene and Travis in their younger years. Some are quite humourous especially some of the christmas ones with their father matt.
Darylene is going to the football game tonite and then has to get up early tomorrow for her second SAT.Travis is just learning how to use the computer and he now his own e mail address. It is mistertee_1995@yahoo.com.
I got a small turkey for canadian thanksgiving which I think I will cook this weekend sometime. Its great having two Thanksgivings in one year.WE may have all of Denise's family over again this year as well.We are looking forward to that.
